    With years of experience working for top national commercial building consultancies in Manchester, Jonathan decided to strike out on his own and co-founded Anderton Gables in 2007 with Andrew Whittle.  

    Jonathan is focused on driving AG forwards, shaping our vision, goals and strategy as we grow into the leading Building Consultancy beyond the capital, known for excellent client care, commercially aware advice and a place where individuals can thrive. 

    He’s been a RICS member since 1999 and proudly serves on the RICS Dilapidations Steering Group. Outside of work, Jonathan is a Preston North End fan and loves staying active to keep fit.

    Meet Andrew Whittle, co-founder and Managing Director of Anderton Gables. 

    Andrew kicked off his career at Preston-based Jones & Co, where he honed his skills across a wide range of surveying and design roles. He became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2003. 

    At AG, Andrew’s in charge of keeping the day-to-day running smoothly, as well as steering the business strategy to make sure we’re hitting both our short-term goals and long-term vision. 

    When he’s not at work, Andrew loves spending time with his family, hitting the gym and when he can, frequenting the slopes as an enthusiastic snowboarder – though he’ll tell you himself, he’s got “all the gear and no idea!” 

  • Tom Hargreaves

    Tom Hargreaves is a Director at AG, leading the Project Management team. He started his career at Arcus Consulting LLP, working on large housing projects while honing his building surveying skills. Tom became a RICS Chartered Surveyor in 2011 and joined AG in March 2014 as a Senior Surveyor, quickly moving up the ranks while delivering both commercial projects and professional services. 

    He's a member of the Association of Project Safety and a committee member of Constructing Excellence Liverpool, where he helps organise annual industry events. 

    Outside of work, Tom is a passionate Blackburn Rovers fan and a proud dad to Bella and Myla. He enjoys swimming, circuit training and squeezing in a round of golf when time allows, though most of his free time is spent with family.

  • Kirsty Robinson

    Having joined AG in August 2016, Kirsty is responsible for client experience, improving service delivery and client feedback in her role as Operations & People Director.  

    Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves exploring new cities - Barcelona being her all-time favourite. She also stays active with Body Combat and Spinning, though she admits that sometimes “Go Hard or Go Home” results in just going home! 

  • Paul Addison

    With over 15 years’ experience as a building surveyor, Paul joined AG in 2017 and has a range of experience across sectors including commercial, educational, residential and healthcare. 

    Heading up our Manchester Office, he has a particular interest in construction health and safety, project management and contract administration, becoming a Member of the Association of Project Safety in 2019 and more recently a Member of the Association for Project Management. 

    When he's OOO, Paul likes to travel and spending time outdoors/keeping fit!

    Cat Newton is Director of the Housing Team, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building and Associate of the RICS. She’s an expert in the project management of large mixed-use schemes, which have included student accommodation, retail units, offices, residential and hotel developments. Outside of work, Cat is a Mum and a qualified Dance Teacher, teaching Ballroom and Latin dancing to both adults and children.

    James provides a range of professional services, including Dilapidations for both landlords and tenants, Pre-Acquisition and Pre-Lease Technical Due Diligence and Defect Analysis. Since graduating in 2013, he has worked with firms such as Hollis, CS2, and PMP, developing his expertise in Dilapidations. In 2024, James joined AG to lead and support the Building Consultancy Team.

    Outside the office, James is a proud father to Charlotte and often heads back to his native North Wales with her to visit family. He enjoys playing football and tennis and is a dedicated Manchester City supporter.

    Leading the Quantity Surveying team at AG, Associate Director Andrew is a member of the RICS, with more than 30 years’ experience within the construction industry. His extensive experience includes the public and private property and construction sectors, involving both new build and refurbishment works for education projects (schools, colleges & universities), housing, commercial offices, urban regeneration, in addition to undertaking due diligence and fund monitoring roles for clients. Outside of the office, Andrew can be found walking, cooking, at the gym and spending time with family and friends.

    David is a true people-person, he enjoys getting to know clients and their requirements so he can deliver the best outcomes for all parties – top man. 

    With over 10 years’ experience, he’s got the knowledge and the know-how across project and professional instructions having worked with an extensive list of clients including local government, registered providers, the civil service, the NHS, large commercial firms, and large commercial landlords.  

    Outside of work, he spends most of his time with his young family and friends. He's a big fan of the outdoors and can be found exploring the UK or abroad via foot or bike!

    Outside of work, Paul enjoys staying active with his family, especially keeping up with his two young boys. He loves skiing, walking in the Lake District, and heading out on his road bike in the Bowland Fells whenever he gets the chance (and his knees allow)!

    Richard is an Associate Director and Chartered Building Surveyor in our Preston-based Commercial Building Surveying team. With extensive experience in Technical Due Diligence, Acquisition surveys, Dilapidation and Reinstatement Building Cost Assessments, Richard also undertakes the Project Management and the Principal Designer role. He provides strategic advice, guiding both landlords and tenants in making informed decisions. 

    Outside of work, Richard is a dedicated dad to Ralph and Oscar who keep him busy!

    Adam’s been at AG since 2011, making him a familiar face at our Preston office. He’s a key player in our Measurement & Data Capture team, handling everything from traditional measured building surveys to laser scanning and photogrammetry.

    In addition, he's a drone pilot and manages our drone fleet operation whilst also being a qualified non-domestic energy assessor, trained to carry out building life-cycle assessments.

    When he’s not at work, Adam’s all about tech, DIY projects, and spending quality time with his young family.

    Craig heads up the Measured Surveys and Data Capture team alongside Adam Wenmouth, offering a wide range of services, including Topographical and Measured Building Surveys, laser scanning, and 3D modelling. With over 20 years of experience, Craig has worked across residential, commercial, highways, and railway projects, using the latest in surveying technology.

    Outside of work, Craig enjoys boxing and going to the gym, but most of his time is spent with his young kids, keeping him on his toes.

    Mike is an Associate Director, based in our Liverpool office. Having achieved chartered status in 2019, Mike has over 14 years of experience in architectural design, dilapidation claims, residential, commercial and industrial condition surveys, and managing commercial refurbishment projects. He has a strong technical background and is also one of our fully qualified non-domestic energy assessors, helping to deliver sustainable solutions for our clients.  

    Outside of work, Mike loves spending time with his young family and staying active on his mountain bike.

    Scott handles all things finance at AG – and since he’s the one who pays us at the end of the month, he’s naturally a team favourite! With a background in the commercial and residential development sectors, Scott also brings experience in project accounting within construction and commercial interior fit-outs.

    Andrew is a Chartered Building Surveyor based in our Preston office. He started his property career in 2014 as a property valuer while studying for his BSc Hons in Building Surveying at UCLAN. After joining AG in 2018 as an Architectural Technician, Andy moved to the Building Surveying team in 2019, where he gained expertise in Pre-Acquisition surveys, Budget Cost Assessments, Schedules of Condition and Defect Diagnosis Reports. He’s also delivered projects for supported living accommodations, and in 2024, he became a Chartered RICS surveyor.

    Outside of work, Andy enjoys spending time with his young family and staying active with swimming and walking in the Lake District. He’s also a passionate Blackpool FC supporter, travelling with his three children to cheer on the tangerines.

  • Su Davey

    Based in Preston, Su primarily has extensive building surveying experience across various sectors, most recently in residential, but also in education, leisure, domestic, and commercial sectors. She primarily provides Employer's Agent support for various private developers and housing associations. She has successfully managed several large residential schemes, with her standout projects being the restoration and conversion of a Grade II listed building in Stockport. This scheme earned an LABC award for “Best Change in Use of an Existing Building.” and Whalley Manor, a residential new build scheme of 188 new homes which won “Best New Development in the North” at the First-Time Buyer awards in September 2024. 

    Outside of work, Su enjoys family time, outdoor activities, and staying active at her local gym.

Her background includes managing projects and undertaking professional work for, national retailers, investment portfolios and commercial landlords and occupiers.

    Outside of work, Hollie loves a good coffee, being outdoors and enjoys both ski trips and sunny getaways.

    Holly is a Building Surveyor based in our Preston office. She began her career in property after earning her undergraduate degree in Philosophy and pursuing her Master’s degree in 2019. Her passion for restoring and refurbishing heritage buildings led her to Building Surveying, for which she's currently in the process of becoming chartered.  

    Holly has supported a variety of clients across various sectors by providing project management and party wall services, schedules of condition, and BRCAs across the Manchester area and beyond. 

    In her free time, Holly enjoys walking in the Lake District with her dog, Fig, and exploring new places both at home and abroad.

    Justine is a Quantity Surveyor based in our Preston office, with experience across both public and private sector projects in residential, education and commercial sectors. She provides Contract Administration, Quantity Surveying and Employer’s Agent services, working on schemes ranging from £500,000 to £16 million. Justine has experience with both traditional and design-and-build methods, and her proactive approach enables her to collaborate closely with project teams. 

    In her spare time, Justine enjoys reading, walking her dog, and testing her knowledge at pub quizzes. A passionate rugby league fan, she follows the Wigan Warriors both home and away as much as she can.

    Ben is a Building Surveyor based in our Preston office. After spending 10 years teaching PE around the world, he returned to the UK to begin pursuing his career change with a MA in building Surveying. 

    A keen sportsman, Ben enjoys playing cricket, cycling, snowboarding, and working towards completing the 214 Wainwright Walks with his wife and son. Holidays involve towing the caravan to the most isolated parts of the UK and searching for the perfect coffee.

His role involves supporting the wider team with Project Management, Contract Administration and Professional Services while he works towards becoming a RICS Chartered Surveyor. Shaun is also accredited with Elmhurst as a Domestic Energy Assessor, enabling him to complete EPCs for domestic properties and contribute to building more energy-efficient homes. 

    Outside of work, Shaun is a dedicated Accrington Stanley fan, following the team up and down the country. He also enjoys spending time with his niece and nephew and going to gigs.

    Sebastian joined AG in 2023 as a Graduate Building Surveyor and is based in the Liverpool office. A graduate of Liverpool John Moores University, he supports the Building Surveying and Project & Development Consultancy teams. Currently, Sebastian is working towards becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor through the RICS APC pathway, with guidance from his colleagues and the AG Academy. 

    Outside of work, Sebastian enjoys climbing and restoration projects, particularly involving cars and buildings. In 2024, he participated in the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) Peak District Working Party, where he contributed to the practical restoration and repair of a traditionally constructed building.

    Outside of work, Elen enjoys walking and jogging with her Dobermann, Gus, or finding her zen on the yoga mat.

As Business Development & Marketing Executive, she enjoys a dynamic role where no two days are the same. Responsible for strategy and planning for the Sales and Marketing Department, business reporting, organising external events, conducting industry research, Christie also manages the Bids and Tenders process.

    Outside of work, Christie loves spending time with friends and family, whether it's enjoying a weekend getaway or a night at the theatre. A massive music lover, she also enjoys walking and baking.

Since then, she has completed a business administration apprenticeship and as a result was appointed Operations Assistant. Megan works closely with the Directors and team members to ensure the business runs smoothly and efficiently. Outside of work, Megan is a mum to her little girl and enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dog and baking.

    Outside of work, aside from planning her wedding, Zoe enjoys spending time with family and friends, going for long walks with her fiancé, and getting cosy on the couch with her two cats, Shadow and Luna.
