Our Principal Designer and CDM Advisor services are designed to help clients manage and mitigate health and safety risks in line with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015), which apply to all building work - whether it’s new build, demolition, refurbishment or maintenance.   

We provide hands-on, expert guidance throughout the pre-construction and construction phases, ensuring that health and safety considerations are embedded into every aspect of your project.

Our Principal Designer services include: 

  • + Assisting in the development of the initial project brief 

  • + Planning, managing and monitoring the coordination of the pre-construction phase

  • + Supporting clients to identify, obtain and collate essential pre-construction information  

  • + Providing pre-construction information to designers, the principal contractor and contractors

  • + Coordinating health and safety issues with the design team

  • + Ensuring designers co-operate and comply with CDM 2015 regulations

  • + Attending design review meetings and liaising with the principal contractor throughout the project

  • + Supporting the principal contractor in resolving health and safety queries

  • + Compiling and handing over the statutory health and safety file at project completion

  • + Submitting the statutory HSE F10 notification where applicable

  • + Communicating progress and raising awareness of potential health and safety issues throughout the project
