AG appointed to oversee £2.7 million residential scheme

AG Project and Building Consultancy is to oversee the delivery of a new social housing scheme in Bulkeley, Cheshire.

The project, which is being delivered by growth and regeneration group, Torus; the largest provider of affordable homes in the North West.

Working in partnership with contractor M&Y Maintenance, 13 new homes will be built, all available via affordable rent, shared ownership and also outright sale – one of the first type of schemes for Torus.

Discussing the scheme, managing director of Torus Developments, Chris Bowen said: “As a Group, we want to be as inclusive as possible and offer home ownership options that are accessible to all.

“By introducing Outright Sale we are giving people the opportunity to not only own their home outright and get that all-important foot on the housing ladder, but also the security of buying from an established, trusted Group that will reinvest all profits into making their community better.”

Work has begun on site and AG Project and Building Consultancy has been appointed as Employers Agent representing Torus on the construction project.

Jonathan Shaw, managing director of AG Project and Building Consultancy added: “Torus is an ambitious group that’s committed to unlocking potential and create sustainable and thriving communities – a purpose which resonates with us as a firm.

“It’s an excellent scheme to be involved in and our project and development consultancy division will work on behalf of Torus to take an objective approach, ensuring that the best interests of the project are maintained at all times.”
