AG were jointly appointed by Burnley Borough Council and UCLAN to provide Monitoring Surveyor Services for this conversion, refurbishment, and extension project. The proposals which received planning permission in Q3 of 2022 were to convert an empty and derelict Victorian Mill/Factory into a new modern educational facility.

AG were appointed in April 2022 and were initially involved in reviewing the Stage 2 Budget/Cost Plan received from the contractor, along with all design information. AG prepared an initial report considering cost, design, risk, programme and contingency allowances. AG have updated the reports as revised costs were received as design developed to Stage 3 and now to Stage 3/4. The contractor is currently on site and making good progress, the demolition phase is almost complete, extensive ground works progressed and the new internal substructure and steelwork frame are in place. AG attend monthly meetings and provide monthly reports in line with progress meetings and valuations.
